More on Canadian Dollar CD Z2

Attached is the chart of December Canadian Dollar.

 

Yesterday we never made it to the activation level for our trade so we stayed on sidelines.

We are again watching CD Z2 with a stop-in level of 102.50. 

If the market allows us an entry point today, I would consider balancing a long Canadian Dollar position with a short position in the Aussie Dollar.  The fundamental argument for this would be recent signs of a deeper slowdown in china than we are being led to believe.  Patience is the toughest part for us as I'm sure it is for you.

Attached is a daily chart of December Canadian Dollar (CDZ2).

 

 

The current pattern is interesting in that it is forming a pennant within a broader triangle.

 

A trade above 102.50 constitutes a breakout of both patterns and suggests an upside objective of 103.59.

 

I am considering a stop-entry trade at 102.52,  take partial profit at 103.50 with stop-loss settle below 101.70

Attached is a daily chart of the December EuroCurrency (EC Z2).

 

This morning ECZ2 bounced off a well defined trend line support at 129.15.  This suggests an initial bounce up to 130.45 with potential for a breakout and retest of old highs

at 131.90.

The fundamental bull case is that the ECB has gone "all in" on insuring the Euros long term existance.  Although, we have questions regarding their ability to succeed, for the 

time being, the market could be satisfied with the effort.

 

We like establishing a long position at current levels with a     

stop-loss below 128.88.
